"4 on the Fourth" Race

Our four-mile race on the 4th of July is for the purpose of raising support for the Batesville Food Pantry as well as providing an opportunity for the church to serve and connect with the community..

The community food pantry typically gets the bulk of donations during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. However, the food pantry serves the community all 12 months of the year, which is why we've decided to sponsor a race to raise support for the food pantry during the middle of the year. In 2008 Jonathan Krekeler finished first overall with a time of 24:08:04. In the Women division, Ann Kuntz finished 1st with a time of 28:44:98. The top three finishers in the Men's division were: Jonathan Krekeler, Hayden Merkel, and John Kuntz.
