Junior High School
At Batesville Christian Church, we believe that students of all ages can be used by God to make an impact in our world. The mission for our Junior High students is the same as the overall mission of our church – Seek the Lost, Build up the Saved, and Serve the Community. We hope to equip our students to participate in that mission.
The youth ministry at Batesville Christian Church is not led solely by our Minister of Youth and Family Life. It is also led by parents! We believe that students can have a more permanent, mature, and impactful faith when parents are consistent spiritual influences. That means that our church wants to work alongside parents in discipling students, not apart from them or against them. We hope to empower students to participate in our church’s mission by empowering their parents to be spiritual leaders at home.
Events
We have regular events for our High School students here at Batesville Christian Church, so keep updated on our Youth Events page on the website, our Batesville Christian Church Student Ministry page on Facebook, our monthly "Glad Tidings" newsletter, and our youth ministry bulletin board at church. Our events range from service projects for the community, outreach, fun, and opportunities to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Small Groups
During the summer, our Junior High students can be a part of a small group that meets once a week. These groups are separated by gender, meeting at the home of a family in our church. Currently, our Junior High small groups meet from 6:30-8:00 on Wednesday nights. Girls meet at the home of Gary and Lynn Dann (37 Lynn Haven Dr.), and boys meet at the home of Kip and Cara Main (12873 Coonhunters Rd.). Our Junior High Small Groups are going through John Ortberg’s book The Me I Want to Be – Teen Edition, learning practical ways that they can become the version of themselves that God meant for them to be. These groups run until school starts back, so join in before the summer flies by!
