Getting involved at Batesville Christian
Throughout the Bible, Christians are commanded to love each other. At the same time, the Bible teaches us that love is not just a word to be thrown around, but is seen in our actions.
As Christians, we serve not because it is a commanded task to be checked off or because it buys us favor with God. We serve because we love. God has shown His love for us by serving us in an amazing way and has asked us to do the same for each other. There are countless ways we can serve each other. At times, it is simply writing a letter of encouragement when we know someone needs lifted up. Other times, we may take a dinner or a bag of groceries to a friend or neighbor in need.
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers." - 1 John 3:16
